HopGuard® 3 is the new generation! This unique miticide is derived from hop compounds and provides a safe and easy-to-use alternative to traditional harsh chemicals. HopGuard 3 is acceptable for use in Langstroth, top bar hives, mating nucs, drone mother colonies, nuclei, splits, and newly installed packages. Do you have a problem with the Varroa mite (Varroa destructor)? HopGuard 3 is your natural Varroa mite treatment.

Easy—and Safe—to Use

Each HopGuard 3 mite treatment kit contains ten or twenty-four insert strips, ready for use.

• The daytime temperature should be above 50°F (10°C).
• Use two strips per brood chamber: that is, one strip per five frames of bees, two strips per ten frames of bees.
• Strips should be hung between brood frames.

When treating colonies under high temperature and humidity conditions, open the hive entrance fully, remove inner covers (if present), open screened bottom boards (if present), and insert a rim or spacer under the lid. This will help the hive regulate temperature and humidity during treatment.

We cannot guarantee that medications will have the full shelf life remaining upon receipt. If you plan to order HopGuard® 3 or other mite treatments in advance, we strongly recommend contacting us beforehand to confirm the expiration dates of our current inventory.

For delivery to California, a copy of your Operator's Identification Number must be on file before your order can ship. Contact your county department of agriculture to obtain a number, then contact Stanwood Bee Company for submission instructions. Your order will be held until the required documentation is received.
