Stanwood, Washington · The people behind the farm
Our family. Our farm.
Our story.
Welcome to Stanwood Bee Company. We’re the Welsh family, and this is a little look at the people, the animals, and the hands-on work behind our business.

Our beginnings · 2017
A new farm. A growing family.
We purchased the land and started our farm in 2017, just before Porter was born. The farm and our family have grown together since those early days.
Meet the Welsh family
Hi, I’m Tim.
I’m Tim Welsh, the person behind Stanwood Bee Company. My wife, Melanie, and our sons, Preston and Porter, are part of the family story behind the farm.
Bees, cattle, chickens, and building coops all have a place in our lives. This website brings those different parts of the business together, so you can find what you need and get in touch with me directly.

Building coops since 2008
Experience that starts with keeping chickens.
I’ve raised chickens my whole life and have been building coops commercially since 2008. That experience shapes the details: room to walk inside, an elevated henhouse, and a clean-out door that makes everyday chores easier.
My goal is straightforward: build a solid coop that is practical to use and made to last. Our walk-in coops are built on your prepared site, with sizes and options to suit your flock.

Life around the hives
Bees are at the heart of our name.
Our beekeeping business includes live bees, queens, and supplies for caring for your hives. Whether you’re getting started or adding to an established apiary, you can browse the range here and contact me with questions.
Around the farm
Another part of life on the farm.
Alongside the bees and coops, our business includes cattle and locally raised beef. In October 2023, I shared a new chapter in the cattle business with a simple thought: ‘It all starts with grass.’ The pasture and the everyday work of feeding and caring for the cattle remain part of our story.

From our family album
Memories from the farm and beyond.
From our beginnings in 2017 to family road trips and everyday chores, our Farm Journal brings together photographs and stories from the years along the way.
